It was the home of Brighton & Hove Albion FC from 1902 to 1997. It was somewhat decrepit, but Seagulls fans remember it fondly. The ground was sold in 1997 by the owners of the club, without a home to go to. It's now a retail park and Burger King. From that low point the club rebuilt and went from the bottom of the fourth tier to the upper reaches of the Premier League.
We are both lovers of football and we were born in the same hospital in Brighton.
